Hello! My name is Hannah Brayshaw, I’m a freelance illustrator based in Dorset and Jersey. I’m currently a third year student at Arts University Bournemouth studying BA(Hons) Illustration, graduating in July.
I grew up on a small island called Jersey, with parents who worked as zookeepers at a conservation trust so naturally I spent a lot of my childhood learning about animals, plants and conservation, these experiences inspire the work I do now.
I often find myself creating illustrations that are centred around animals and the environment and I have been creating work that fits into the world of children’s publishing. Specifically my focus has been on educational books, that can be used to help children learn about the environment and connect with nature. My work is always inspired by my deep love for wildlife and the natural world.
